The Bokeh South African International Film Festival sponsored by Mercedes brings together creatives, film makers, fashion designers and guests in a glamorous series of events each year. Deon Joubert Racing was recently tasked with putting together a display of some of Mercedes latest top of the range cars’(CLS 53, E53, A Class and C63s) on the upper level of the V&A mall for the duration of the event.
Behind the seemingly effortless display of these cars is a complex set of logistics. There is no way of driving them to the upper level, so a crane is needed to lift them in … and out again. None of this can happen when the mall is open ot the public so for us it was an all nighter.
Putting together a display at this level requires precision driving to position the cars in a perfect display formation. Then our OTT attention to detail kicks in some more. We remove all the wheels and replace them exactly, so that not only hub caps but also rims are perfectly aligned with logo and branding at the precise angles demanded for each car.
The display requires the immaculate new car experience, so we clean every last detail. And maintain that level of spotlessly throughout the exhibit. Our business is protecting the cars.
